Get down and dirty in Cherry Hill this weekend!
Fall is the perfect time to dig in to a morning of public service in Cherry Hill!
Cherry Hill Township is sponsoring a day of hands on service for National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9am to noon.
Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Rd): Trail Maintenance
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. This year Cherry Hill Township will once again be one of just a few NJ municipalities participating in NPLD- this Saturday, September 25. Community volunteers will have the option to perform trail maintenance at the Croft Farm site or head to Town Hall for the planting of two, pre-dug rain gardens, compliments of Rutgers Water Resource Program. At 11am, as volunteers finish work on the municipal gardens, there will be a special cherry tree dedication ceremony with Township officials and representatives of Manhattan Management Co. (owners of Cherry Tree Corporate Center), who purchased the native trees for the Cherry Hill community.
