CHERRY HILL — A shy 10-year-old Girl Scout who didn’t realize how big an impact she could have and a diligent healthcare worker who wanted his voice to be heard came together to make a difference. Motivated by a “no idling’ law that had been on the state books for more than two decades, Shelby Robbins and Mike Richter, both of Cherry Hill, had each sought to publicize the risks involved in idling vehicles and were able to do so with the help of Sustainable Cherry Hill and the township. What should we do when we see people idling their vehicles for a prolonged time? I’ve told some people about the Cherry Hill law, but they don’t seem very impressed. And I can’t bring myself to reporting them. Is there an alternative?
