Summer Book Club explores living a “Homemade Life”

Have you ever wanted to hang out and talk in a fun, relaxed atmosphere with people who want to learn more about green living?

If so, please join us for this summer’s Green Health Task Force Book Club!

We will be meeting over the course of 5 Weeks and will only be reading a few chapters a week. Our book for this summer is Made from Scratch: Discovering the pleasures of a homemade life by Jenna Woginrich. It is a light and funny autobiographical look at a typical suburban working woman who decides she wants to “take more control” of her life in the areas of food, clothing, and entertainment. She also wants to minimize the effect of rampant consumerism on her life. The author runs into mishaps along the way, but she, along with the reader, learns from her mistakes. This provides the reader with some more small steps we can take toward a “handmade life”! The book comes complete with simple recipes and projects and we may incorporate a few of these into our book club’s final session!

5 Wednesdays, June 27 to August 1 (except July 4) at 7pm at Yoga for Living, 1926 Greentree Rd, Cherry Hill. NJ 0800s

For more information and registration, click here. В The Book Club is FREE and don’t worry if you can’t make all the sessions!
